Running these online soil maps costs. Right now it's over US$100 per month. The more they are used the more it costs. The ads displayed cover just a fraction. This cost is currently coming out of my pocket. I don't want to pull these soil maps down, but if I can't at least recoup the costs then I'll have no choice. The online interactive Manitoba Soil Agricultural Capability Map provides information about the soil series and agricultural capability for soils in southern Manitoba
- To locate a land parcel, use the search box to search for a quarter section. Use the format QTR-SECTION-TOWNSHIP-RANGE-DIRECTION (E or W). For example entering NW-22-9-4-W into the search box would locate that quarter section.
- Clicking on the map will bring up the information about the soil types at that location, and the blue area that appears shows the extent of that soil attribute zone.
